Mailed to local AyurDoula students and some others, I'll start making these communications here so all can access.
Dear Sisters;
Lots is showing itself for community support for postpartum mothers in need, which is a tremendous opportunitiy for students to learn a lot quickly while assisting a senior AyurDoula to give support to mothers need. Please let me know if you want to be involved in the following. You may want to check out details on the new pages for community service on the sacredwindow.com website (and the student forum here available to be used). The midwives have referred several women already, and feedback as some of you know from the women receiving consults as well as infant massage instruction was and expression of tremendous gratitude to student midwife Lorraine who helped organize.
7 Centers will be running the level 1 training again this spring, and in the meantime, obviously the other skills would be really handy for some of you. I'm willing to work with several of you in a combined hands on and small classes in my home setting, where we will have to discuss the herbal formulation for the clients, which herbs (or essential oils) and why, and a few talk pieces around the mothers home spa treatments which you have to option to assist me with in client care. It is likely we will do one client the week of the 10th, and a couple more consults. So, is time to make some plans about who might be available/want to participate when and how flex your schedule is. I don't have a formal plan yet, it is rather as we go with moms in current need. I'm open to the exchange discussion including flex options. The written materials for level 2 are available by correspondence student purchase, though you get to log the more valuable direct preceptor contact hours when working along side me with clients. I much prefer to teach more this way.
Just in case, here is also the reminder to join the yahoo forum where we have some juicy discussions going on right now, and several different professionals giving their input.
Warmly;
Ysha
