**Special Seminar in Ayurveda: Infants and Children**
Dr. Sarita Shrestha, M.D.(ob.gyn), B.A.M.S

Ayurvedas approach to treating Infants and children is quite gentle. This seminar will exploreherbs and medicines which are considered appropriate vs inappropriate for infants and children as well as suitable ways to administer medicines. Also basic nutrition and health measures which promote resistance to many child hood diseases will be discussed

*July 7-8- Dr Sarasvati Buhrman- Women's Health
Covers balancing doshas and regularizing menstrual cycle, PMS, menstrual cramps, menopause, health and common diseases of reproductive organs, enhancing fertility, supporting pregnancy, avoiding postpartum depression.

*July 9-10- Shar Lee Yoga for Women’s Health
Instruction in prenatal and postpartum Yoga and
special Yoga asanas for women’s health.

*July 11-12 Terra Raphael, LIcensed PRofessional Midwife and Ayurvedic Pracitioner on Fertility, Pregnancy and Birth.

*July 13 Ysha Oakes and Sonya Bastow, Postpartum Ayurvedic Doulas, understanding common issues with Ayurveda for postpartum moods, colic and other concerns.

NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association)
For those who want NAMA practitioner recognition, your AyurDoula training can be added to your NAMA qualifying hours. NAMA currently defines a minimum of 500 hours for inclusion on their referral database and are not ready to address smaller certificate programs. This is an update from previous posting as they have to focus their energies on broader spectrum and more clinical practitioner certifications at this time.

Dr. Shresta is one of the few teachers offering womens and children's health and Ayurveda advanced classes. Her in depth theory and its practical application weekends and week long workshops often include clinical observations at Central California (Mount Madonna Center), Seattle, San Diego, Boulder and Chicago. Requirements vary.

DeAnna Batdorff is a rare healer based in Sebastopol, California where her Ayurvedic clinic and school, the Dhyana Center of Health Sciences, offers certification in Clinical Ayurveda & Aromatherapy. Her special gifts and education with the Ayurvedic pulse include valuable diagnostics in pregnancy. For example, through the pulse one can read whether there is meconium in the amnion or other complications.
