Dr. Sarita Shrestha, MD/OBGyn of Nepal, also ayurvedic physician. Dr. Shrestha visits the US annually for several months teaching tour. Her specialty is women and children's health. She has trained/directs midwives as well as doctors who run her Devi Kunja clinic in Katmandu valley in Nepal.

Dr. Claudia Welsh's websiteoffers education and resources for Women's health care from an Ayurvedic Practitioner/Chinese Medical Doctor who teaches at Dr. Lad's Institute as well as other places around the country. Sarasvati Buhrman, PHD is very skilled with the Ayurvedic herbal pharmacopea and has been supporting the Boulder, Colorado area clients for many years.

Alecananda Devi was an MD and Nun in England before traveling in India and learning/working with many in India, using Ayurveda. Her ashram in Boulder also serves many people with health and spiritual care, where she got her start in the area doing Ayurvedic postpartum doula care!

An increasing number of women and men practicing Ayurvedic physicians are in the US and around the world. Several excellent Ayurvedic schools are training many professionals in the field.
